課程概述

This course mainly covers two parts: social choice theory and political economics. I will first introduce some public goods and social choice theories, and the implementation of social choices. Then I will discuss some models related to political competition, legislative decision-making, and the incentives and constraints politicians face. Finally, I will finish with some issues regarding political institutions and political agency models.

課程目標
Introduce some recent developments in political econonmics.
課程要求
I will apply the game theory constantly. Here is an excellent reference:
A Primer in Game Theory, by Robert Gibbons, Harvester/Wheatsheaf, 1992.
